Brock delivers responsive efficiency as a Client Service Associate for PlumTree Financial clients. Brock implements the team’s investment strategy in alignment with the advisor’s client’s unique financial goals. He conducts research and investment due diligence, and he supports advisory account management and investment strategy maintenance. Brock excels at explaining key points to clients in a way they understand and empowers them with confidence in their financial future.
Brock has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years, with 11 years in fixed income portfolio management. He worked primarily with Bank of America in Charlotte, North Carolina, under several of the brokerage and asset management subsidiaries, such as Bank of America Investment Services, Columbia Management and USTrust. "Getting to work alongside three Senior Portfolio Managers with CFA's (Chartered Financial Analyst) pushed me intellectually, forcing me to think more precisely about how we see the markets and the economy.” He has an MBA (Master of Business Administration) from Winthrop University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Lenoir-Rhyne College. He also holds FINRA licenses Series 7 and 66 through LPL Financial.
Brock resides with his wife on Fripp Island, South Carolina, where they enjoy outdoor activities, watersports, boating, and fishing. They are new empty nesters with a daughter attending The University of Tennessee. Go Vols!! Brock and his wife love live music and brewery hopping. Once in a while Brock and his daughter jam guitars, play with friends, and bring their talents into their church. His family contributes as volunteers with their church (Give and Teach school in Guatemala), hurricane relief- clean up at Carolina beaches, Room at the Inn service (housing the homeless in winter at the church), and Bright Side Youth Ranch in York SC.
Brock especially loves the power of "time value of money" - the concept which allows anyone, regardless of their situation, to secure a financial future through a diligent long-term investment plan. Rarely can the pizza man get away without Brock seeing how wealthy the kid at his door could be if he simply started saving a little bit right now for the rest of his career. Too many people wait to “have money” before they save any. "I like to break that barrier down with anyone that will listen. After all, it was a great college professor that showed me the power of time value of money and made me take the first steps to financial security in our ‘Senior Paper.’ It just takes someone to care and show you the first steps to success."
"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
